Royal Bonfire

A hearth people stand around

Fire, grill and kazan in one hearth — with a cooking ring running right around it, so the whole group fits. Nobody sits with their back to the fire and nobody queues at the mangal: everyone cooks at once, standing, with a glass in the other hand.

The engineering of fire

Three heat zones at once

The cooking ring is divided into three zones: searing on high heat, steady grilling, and holding what's already done. The same dish travels around the ring from edge to edge instead of waiting for the grate to free up. Grate height adjusts — you add heat with your hand rather than by moving coals.

  • Double Burn Fire-Jet. A re-burn technology: the smoke combusts a second time, and there is up to 90% less of it than from an open fire. Guests stand around the fire, not in the smoke.
  • Fifteen minutes to working. After lighting, the hearth is ready to take food.
  • Self-clearing. A removable ash basket — no shovelling it out.
  • An accessory rail. Tools to hand rather than on the ground.

Three zones by temperature: sear by the fire, finish further out, hold at the rim.

Secondary burn takes out up to 90% of the smoke, so nobody has to move out of the wind.
